Introduction to iWestmead Program
iWestmead is a program designed to treat stuttering in young children. Parents learn what to do online and then deliver the treatment during everyday interactions with their child. The aim of iWestmead is for children to achieve stutter-free speech that does not sound unnatural in any way. iWestmead is an automated treatment — parents can do it without any face-to-face assistance from a speech pathologist.
The following clinical trials have shown that the Westmead Program can be effective at reducing stuttering in young children.
